I had my turck tires rotated at a shop last week and the tech didn't tighten then driver side front tire. Needless to say, It came off in traffic and almost hit a few cars. I had to chase my tire/wheel for over a mile and make a speedy recovery on the side of the road... No damage to anyone thank God! Always check you nutz;-) Gary : First off, it is absolutely my fault for assuming that a shop would maybe just double check something like my lug nuts before releasing a car. Maybe it's just me, but even if they did not touch the wheels, i would think just for safety sakes, and reassurance they would. Is that wrong that i think that way? Secondly, I was also preoccupied with fixing my coolant leak which is why i put this off, again, my fault. anyway, two things came of this. One that was the cause of the clicking on the driver side. And two, I was running on only 4 lug nuts on the passenger side! What pisses me off most about that is that these lug nuts werent exactly cheap. Anyway, let this be a reminder to be thorough with your car, check everything all the time. I feel like a tool .....
